MAXIMUM FOOTBALL – COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

 

1. THE SPONSOR

The Sponsor of Maximum Football Competition (“Competition“) is Maximum Entertainment, LLC, a US company located at 1485 Treat Blvd, Suite 200, Walnut Creek, CA, USA (“MaxEnt“, “us” or “we“).

 

2. THE COMPETITION

Please read these Competition terms and conditions carefully (the “Terms“). These Terms govern the legal relationship between MaxEnt and you in relation to the Competition. By submitting a Competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms.

 

This Competition is void where prohibited by law. The Competition is subject to all applicable laws and regulations. If the jurisdiction in which you are located invalidates these Terms, your Competition entry will be deemed automatically disqualified.

 

You must be aged 18 years or older and be resident in the United States of America to participate in the competition. Full eligibility is stated below in Section 4.

 

There will be 10 finalists (the “Finalists“) chosen by the judges from all entries. From the Finalists, 2 overall winners (the “Winners“) will be chosen via public vote.

 

3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The Competition will run from 9 a.m. PT on 10th November 2025 (the “Opening Date“) to 9 a.m. PT on 24th November 2025 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.
3.2 Entries must be made via the Maximum Football website: https://www.maxfootballgame.com/winter-classic-showcase/
3.3 Entrants must own the Maximum Football game (the “Game“), on any platform, and have a registered account. Entrants must provide their Maximum Football player account name and platform in their Competition entry.
3.4 Entrants must provide their name and email as part of their entry.
3.5 All Competition entries must be received by us by no later than the Closing Date. All Competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.6 To enter the Competition, you must use only MXFB customization tools available in the Game to create your team design.
3.7 To enter the Competition, you must provide the following via the link in clause 3.2:

3.7.1 Contact information and age confirmation;
3.7.2 Team name;
3.7.3 Color palette (names or hex if possible);
3.7.4 Team image;
3.7.5 Logo files (pngs); and
3.7.6 An attestation that no AI has been used nor any third party intellectual property rights infringed, and the submission is your own design.

 

3.8 We will not accept:

3.8.1 responsibility for Competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind;
3.8.2 any entries made after the Closing Date; or
3.8.3 proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Competition.

 

3.9 Only one entry to the Competition can be made per person.

3.10 The judges will review the entries and determine (acting reasonably) whether the criteria have been met.

4. ELIGIBILITY
4.1 The Competition is open to all residents in the US aged 18 years or over, except:

4.1.1 employees of MaxEnt or its holding or subsidiary companies;
4.1.2 employees of agents or suppliers of MaxEnt or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the Competition or its administration; or
4.1.3 members of the immediate families or households of paragraphs 1.1 and 4.1.2 above.

4.2 By entering the Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. We may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Competition.
4.3 We will not accept Competition entries that are:

4.3.1 automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
4.3.2 completed by third parties or in bulk;
4.3.3 illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
4.3.4 offensive (as determined by the judges);
4.3.5 photocopies and not originals;
4.3.6 incomplete.

4.4 By submitting an entry to the Competition, you represent and warrant to MaxEnt that your entry is wholly original and does not infringe upon or otherwise violate any right of any person, entity, or any applicable law, rule, or regulation, including any copyright or trademark registrations.
4.5 We reserve all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the We will conduct a full review of any/all submissions to check no duplicated or plagiarised content has been submitted. Any party engaging in this type of activity will be immediately disqualified from all entries.
4.6 By submitting an entry, you consent to MaxEnt using your name, country of residence and entry details for promotional and/or marketing purposes and that the details of your entry belong to MaxEnt. Should you win, you agree to participate in reasonable publicity activities surrounding the promotion as requested by MaxEnt.

 

5. WINNERS

The decision of MaxEnt is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

5.1 The Finalist selection process will be as follows:

5.1.1 A shortlist of 10 Finalists will be selected from all entries by the MaxEnt judges. The judges will determine the Finalists based on the following criteria:

5.1.1.1 Originality (30%) – Fresh, creative concept
5.1.1.2 Cohesion (25%) – Colours/logos/fonts feel unified
5.1.1.3 Readability (15%) – clear logos and/or numbers in broadcast angles
5.1.1.4 Franchise Fit (20%) – feels at home among default teams
5.1.1.5 Community Appeal (10%) – would players want to use this team?

5.2 A public vote shall determine the ultimate 2 Winners from the shortlist. The public vote will take place between 25th November 2025 and 2nd December 2025. The public will be able to vote via https://www.maxfootballgame.com/winter-classic-showcase/.

5.2.1 The public vote will be advertised on MaxEnt’s social media channels and within the Game.

5.3 We will notify the Finalists and Winners personally via email to the email address submitted as part of their entry no later than 30 days after the Closing Date. We will also announce the winner across our social platforms, via in-game messaging, and on our webpage: https://www.maxfootballgame.com/winter-classic-showcase/

5.4 Winners / Finalists must have provided a valid Maximum Football account name as part of the entry process in order to receive the Max Stacks element of the prize. Once claimed, the Max Stacks element of the prizes will be sent to the Winners’/Finalists’ Maximum Football accounts within 14 days of being notified of their win.

5.5 If a Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, cannot or will not provide valid MaxEnt account details or otherwise fails to claim the prize within 14 days from being contacted by us, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected by the MaxEnt judges. We do not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

5.6 We will either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place.

5.7 Within 30 days of the Closing Date of the Competition, anyone can request information of the prize winner(s) by writing to us as 1485 Treat Blvd, Suite 200, Walnut Creek, CA, USA with a self-addressed stamped envelope and with reference to this Competition.

 

6. THE PRIZE
6.1 Each Winner (total of 2) shall win:

6.1.1 the winning entries shall become playable teams in Franchise Mode of Maximum Football;
6.1.2 1,000 Max Stacks added to their Maximum Football account; and
6.1.3 Maximum Football Legend Edition or 4,000 Max Stacks if already owned.

There is no equivalent retail value of this prize.

6.2 Each Finalist, other than those who become the Winners, shall receive:

6.2.1 1,000 Max Stacks added to their Maximum Football account; and
6.2.2 Special “Team Architect (Finalist)” Discord role.
6.2.3 Spotlight in social/blog content.

There is no equivalent retail value of this prize.

6.3 The 2 Winners must also provide a creator display name, bio or quote, and a chosen position for their cameo player.
6.4 Further details of the Competition prize are available at https://www.maxfootballgame.com/winter-classic-showcase/ (subject to availability). The prize does not have a quantifiable monetary value, and we reserve the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value. The prize is not negotiable.
6.5 In order to claim the prize, you must be eligible in line with these Terms and be able to receive the prize in line with the governing law in which you reside.

 

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

7.1 Insofar as is permitted by law, MaxEnt, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable for any loss, expense damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained in connection with this Competition except where it is caused by our negligence or the negligence of our agents or distributors or that of our employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

 

8. OWNERSHIP OF COMPETITION ENTRIES AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
8.1 All Competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to us will become the property of MaxEnt on receipt and will not be returned. You agree that you are not entitled to any royalties as a result of the use of your entry by MaxEnt.
8.2 By submitting your Competition entry and any accompanying materials, you agree to assign MaxEnt all of your rights, title and interest, including all intellectual property rights, in and to your entry. You also waive any and all rights of attribution or integrity (including any “moral rights”) that you may have in the entry, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable U.S. law and any similar laws worldwide.
8.3 You agree that we may, but are not required to, make your entry available on its website and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.

 

9. DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY
9.1 Please see our Privacy Policy for further information for how we use data and information that is submitted in connection with the Competition.

 

10. ENTRY CONDITION AND RELEASE
10.1 Each participant agrees to: (a) comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor which are binding and final in all matters relating to this Competition; (b) defend, indemnify, release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its respective parent, subsidiary, and affiliated companies, celebrities, and any other person and organization responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the Competition, and all of their respective past and present officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liability, including but not limited to negligence and damages of any kind to persons and property, including but not limited to invasion of privacy (under appropriation, intrusion, public disclosure of private facts, false light in the public eye or other legal theory), defamation, slander, libel, violation of right of publicity, infringement of trademark, copyright or other intellectual property rights, property damage, or death or personal injury arising out of or relating to a participant’s entry, creation of an entry or submission of an entry, participation in the Competition, acceptance, possession, attendance at, defect in, delivery of, inability to use, use or misuse of prize (including any travel or activity related thereto) and/or the broadcast, exploitation or use of entry. Winner acknowledges that the grand prize is awarded as-is without warranty of any kind.

 

11. GENERAL
11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms, we may, at our sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Competition.
11.2 We reserve the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend this Competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
11.3 These Terms are governed by US law. If any entrants to this Competition wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United States of America.
11.4 Where a competition is made available in any of the following territories, the associated additional terms will apply and, where necessary, take precedence over any other terms in these Terms:

 

Territory Additional Terms
United States of America ARBITRATION PROVISION:  By participating in this Competition, each entrant (and any minor entrant’s parent or legal guardian) agrees: (i) that any and all disputes the entrant may have with, or claims entrant may have against, MaxEnt relating to, arising out of or connected in any way with (a) the Competition, (b) the awarding or redemption of any prize, and/or (c) the determination of the scope or applicability of these Terms to arbitrate, will be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration administered by JAMS and conducted before a sole arbitrator in accordance with the rules of JAMS; (ii) this arbitration agreement is made pursuant to a transaction involving interstate commerce, and shall be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act (“FAA”), 9 U.S.C. §§ 1-16; (iii) the arbitration shall be held in San Francisco, California; (iv) the arbitrator’s decision shall be controlled by these Terms and any of the other agreements referenced herein that the applicable entrant may have entered into in connection with the competition; (v) the arbitrator shall apply California law consistent with the FAA and applicable statutes of limitations, and shall honour claims of privilege recognized at law; (vi) there shall be no authority for any claims to be arbitrated on a class or representative basis, arbitration can decide only entrant’s and/or MaxEnt’s individual claims; the arbitrator may not consolidate or join the claims of other persons or parties who may be similarly situated; (vii) the arbitrator shall not have the power to award punitive damages against the entrant or MaxEnt; (viii) if the entrant is able to demonstrate that the costs of arbitration will be prohibitive as compared to the costs of litigation, MaxEnt will pay as much of entrant’s filing and hearing fees in connection with the arbitration as the arbitrator deems necessary to prevent the arbitration from being cost-prohibitive; and (ix) with the exception of subpart (vi) above, if any part of this arbitration provision is deemed to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, or otherwise conflicts with the rules of JAMS, then the balance of this arbitration provision shall remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with its terms as if the invalid, unenforceable, illegal or conflicting provision were not contained herein.  If, however, subpart (vi) is found to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, then the entirety of this arbitration provision shall be null and void, and neither entrant nor MaxEnt shall be entitled to arbitrate their dispute.  For more information on JAMS and/or the rules of JAMS, visit their website at www.jamsadr.com.
