We’ve just released a small but important hotfix for PlayStation 5 that addresses a frustrating bug affecting some of our most dedicated customization players.
This issue caused certain custom teams to disappear after creation, especially for users who created a large number of custom schools. After investigating your reports, we’ve identified and resolved a part of the underlying issue.
Part of this issue was a result of people reaching the upper limit of the allocated save space for Maximum Football on PlayStation 5. We are working on a long-term fix to help fully resolve this issue, but for now, we have a few recommendations to help with players creating custom teams:
- Delete any unused logos or teams from your console.
- In order to keep from reaching the current save limit on PlayStation 5, limit creations to 170 Custom Teams, 70 Dynasty Seasons, and 170 Custom Logos. (These are not exact amounts but just rough suggestions)
Please note: Because this bug corrupted already affected save files, this patch will not restore any previously lost teams. We know that’s disappointing, and we’re incredibly grateful for your patience and the detailed reports that helped us track this down.
