Maximum Football 1.0 Arrives June 17

Mark your calendars: Maximum Football officially launches into 1.0 on June 17

After launching into Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview last year, we’ve delivered over a dozen updates and hotfixes to improve gameplay, enhance quality of life, and expand the game’s core features. From Coach Mode and couch multiplayer to invite-based online play and full Dynasty spectating, many of the most impactful additions came directly from your feedback.

Now, we’re gearing up for the next chapter. On June 17, we leave Early Access behind and take our biggest step yet—with new features, new players, and a brand-new season of content. But before we kick things off, let’s take a look at what 1.0 means for the future of Maximum Football.

What Does 1.0 Mean

Reaching 1.0 is a major milestone—but it’s far from the finish line. Launching out of Early Access means we can bring Maximum Football to new players and platforms, while continuing to refine the core gameplay and deliver the features our community has asked for.

Development isn’t slowing down. We’ll keep pushing regular updates, introducing new features, and expanding the game with fresh content. Our goal is to make Maximum Football the ultimate sandbox for building your dream football experience.

Now, let’s dive into what’s coming with the 1.0 launch.

New Features

Maximum Football on PlayStation 5!

You’ve been asking—and we’re thrilled to deliver. With the 1.0 launch, Maximum Football is officially coming to PlayStation 5. Starting June 17, PlayStation players can finally join in and start building their ultimate football universe.

Weather

Until now, every game has taken place under clear skies. That changes with 1.0. Rain and snow are being added to Maximum Football, bringing new atmosphere and challenge to your gameday experience.

Stadium Customization

Make your stadium a true reflection of your team’s identity. With the 1.0 launch, you’ll be able to personalize your field color and stadium seating to match your team’s branding. It’s your home—make it look the part.

Multiple Team Logos

College football teams don’t stop at just one logo—and now, neither do you. With 1.0, you can upload up to nine logos per team and use them across your uniforms. Build a brand that feels as dynamic as the team you’ve created.

Season 3

June 17 doesn’t just mark the launch of 1.0—it also kicks off a brand-new season of content (we’ll reveal the full theme soon!). We’re using your feedback to improve how Season Pass content is earned and what’s included.

First, in addition to weekly and seasonal challenges, we’re introducing passive XP—you’ll now make progress on your Season Pass just by finishing games. Play your way and keep moving forward.

We’re also expanding the rewards on both the free and premium tracks. That includes more variety, higher-value items, and not one, but two stadiums:

  • The premium reward at Tier 1 gives pass holders a brand-new stadium right from the start.
  • The free reward at Tier 50 offers a second stadium for all players who complete the pass.

Updated Animations and Anatomy

We’re packing in a wide range of new animations for 1.0, including an updated kickoff sequence and improvements to catching, running, and tackling. You’ll also notice non-gameplay animations—players reacting on the sidelines, motioning between plays, and more—that bring added life and immersion to every snap.

Beyond animations, we’ve refined how player bodies respond to the action. Players now move more naturally, track plays with greater awareness, and interact with each other more believably during collisions and transitions.

But enough talk—you want to see this in action! Come back next Tuesday for a full half of 1.0 gameplay IN THE SNOW!
